I offer down to earth counselling sessions for adults, and young people aged 12 upwards. I work in a positive, non-judgemental way, adapting the counselling to best suit your unique needs and circumstances. I am especially interested in working with teenagers, young adults and parents, and have over 10 years experience in this area. I also specialise in working with people who have been or are currently involved in adoption and fostering.
Some reasons for seeking counselling:
Adoption, Anger, Anxiety, Bereavement/Grief, Bullying, Confidence, Depression, Domestic Violence, Family Difficulties and Breakdowns, Fostering, Life Changes and Transitions, Loss, Miscarriage, Panic Attacks, Parenting, Relationships, School, Self-esteem, Stress, Work/Career.
People of all ages and backgrounds can find counselling helpful during times of difficulty, emotional turbulence, or uncertainty. It may be that you are experiencing a troubling time in your life, or you may be repeating patterns of unhelpful thinking or behaviour. You may want help in planning for a more positive future. Perhaps you are simply looking for someone to talk to, and listen to you.
I believe that therapy can help in all of these situations. I offer a safe, private and relaxed space for you to explore any aspect of life, whether your issues are current, from the past, or involve decisions for your future.
I am based in Atworth (between Bath and Melksham) and I work both short term and long term.
COVID19 Update: I am now working online and face to face (following guidelines) .
